Sometimes, it’s just better to share your screen when you’re trying to show how to do something or get an idea across. The latest version of iOS on iPhones has made it easier to do this — you can even share your screen via Facetime now, too.
Step to screen record on iPhone:
To start screen recording, you first need to make the option more accessible by editing your Control Center.
1 Open the Control Center:
Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen (on iPhone models with a notch) or swipe up from the bottom of the screen (on iPhone models without a home button) to access the Control Center.
2 Enable Screen Recording:
In the Control Center, look for the Screen Recording icon. It looks like a filled-in circle surrounded by a larger circle. If you don’t see it, you might need to add it to your Control Center by going to “Settings” > “Control Center” > “Customize Controls” and tapping the “+” next to “Screen Recording.”
3 Start Recording:
Once you’ve located the Screen Recording icon, tap on it. A countdown of 3 seconds will appear, indicating when the recording will start. You can also press firmly (or long-press) on the Screen Recording icon to access additional options like recording the microphone audio.
4 Record Your Screen:
After the countdown, your iPhone will begin recording the screen. You’ll see a red status bar at the top of the screen, indicating that the recording is in progress. During the recording, you can navigate to different apps or screens on your iPhone.
5 Stop Recording:
To stop the screen recording, you can either tap the red status bar at the top of the screen and select “Stop,” or you can open the Control Center again and tap the Screen Recording icon (which should now be highlighted). A pop-up menu will appear, and you can tap “Stop Recording” to end the screen recording.
6 Save and Access the Recording:
Once you stop the recording, a notification will appear. You can tap on the notification to view and share the recorded video. Additionally, the recording will be saved in the Photos app on your iPhone, specifically in the “Recents” album or the “Videos” album.
Remember:
that screen recording captures everything on your screen, including notifications and sensitive information. So, be cautious when recording and ensure you have permission when capturing content from other apps or individuals.
