- More than half of the US states and 40 cities have declared the month of October as Hindu Culture Month. This year important festivals like Navratri Dussehra Durga Puja and Diwali fall in this month.
- Therefore, many states have taken this decision as Hindus have made a valuable contribution to the development of America.
Preparation For Ramlila Starts Eight Months In Advance :
- The stage props for Ramlila are manufactured in America but the costumes are imported from India.
- The choreographer said that people travel for hours to watch the ram-leela.
- It is resold for several weeks and has to come to india several times.
- So preparations are started for eight months in advance.
The New Jersey State Department Of Culture Affairs Has Funded The Dussehra Festival :
- Texas, ohio, new jersey, city and state governments have generously provided funds for dussehra celebrations.
- New Jersey is home to the largest dussehra festival in the country due to its large non-resident indian population.
Ramlila and other cultural programs are scheduled.
